Projects
Butterflies are excellent indicators of environmental health. Brisbane’s Big Butterfly Count is an initiative of Brisbane Catchments Network (BCN) and all its member groups, the project is a direct result of BCN’s Biodiversity Strategy and aims to engage Brisbane residents to gather local butterfly data.

This two year project is aptly named “Nature Positive Brisbane Catchments” because it will be undertaken by eight catchment groups; Bulimba Creek, Cubberla Witton Creek, Kedron Brook, Kholo Creek, Norman Creek, Pullen Pullen Creek & Save Our Waterways Now group.
Brisbane Catchments Network Inc applied for the funding from the Federal Government’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment, & Water and received $1,196,127 to restore the health of urban waterways.
