Dutton Park Paddle Against Plastic
September 22 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Dutton Park has a new kayak launching pontoon which gives us access to an area of mangroves on the Brisbane River that are renowned for the amount of debris they collect. So we are going to check it out. Due to this being part of the Brisbane River, we are seeking more advanced paddlers so if you haven’t done one of our events before, we would prefer you to come to an easier event first, or if you are an experienced paddler and know why I am writing this line, then please feel free to jump aboard. This is probably not your tytpical child friendly OC PAP. We really need to keep things safe and the Brisbane River is a challenge for most paddlers.
Join us on your paddle craft of any type and hit the water in a fun friendly event that is just like a treasure hunt, but a little different. We have a limited amount of craft available if you don’t have one, just book a ticket in the registration process that includes the paddle craft you require. If there are no craft available, please keep an eye out as we will attempt to get additional craft from other people or come down anyway and clean along the banks.
